What Do I Feed My Gymnast Before A Workout?

All too often, athletes and parents fail to understand the link between nutrition and the risk of injury. How you eat = how you perform - simple! We have collaborated with Jessica Knox of Elite Edge Sports Nutrition to help educate the sports community on this topic.

Gymnastics workouts are long and demanding, so it is ESSENTIAL that gymnasts are fueling their bodies properly before hitting the mats. Some great examples would be:

•Whole grain toast with peanut butter

•Fruit, such as apple slices

•Oatmeal with fruit as toppings

Give YOUR athlete the "edge" and make sure they are getting a good snack before their workout! Head to our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/gymnasticsrehab/) to learn more or connect with Elite Edge Sports Nutrition https://www.facebook.com/EliteEdgeSportsNutrition/).
